Used on our upcoming ZX10R Gen 6 turbo kit this high flow pump with 1:1 rising rate regulator is the perfect upgrade for customers wanting to build their own turbo systems or high horsepower NA bike & need a plug & play solution with additional fuel flow, with the advantage of an adjustable pressure 1:1 rising rate regulator built in.
The stock fuel system uses a small fuel pump & fixed regulator, while this is fine for the factory setup it does become a problem when boost pressure is applied or when extra flow is required when using ethanol or oxigenated fuels.
There is very limited options when it comes to an easy fuel system upgrade, so we have devolped this 1:1 fuel pump/regulator to help make the fuel system on your project a bit less of a headache.
This upgrade uses an E85 compatible Raceworks 340LPH pump.
With a stock pump as the boost pressure increases you lose more injector capacity because of the dropping effective fuel pressure working against the higher boost presure & the small factory fuel pump can't supply enough flow to keep up with the fuel demands of a turbo charged bike.
This can also be used in a NA setup by setting the desired base fuel pressure & not connecting the boost pressure hose to regulator.
What is included
This is a fully anodised plug play unit that fits in the stock pump location & includes a Raceworks 340LPH pump E85 compatible hoses & fittings, it accepts the factory fuel hose connector & electrical harness connector, it also includes a mount for the OEM fuel level sensor .
A quality liquid filled fuel pressure gauge is also fitted to the unit for easy setting of the base pressure & as an easy visual reference to check on fuel pressures when installed on the bike. The gauge can be removed & a 1/8NPT fuel pressure sensor fitted in its place for customers wanting to log fuel pressure on a gauge or aftermarket ecu. (sensor not included)
Please note : when using this 1:1 pump you will need to upgrade the fuel injectors & tune using a map sensor to reference boost in a turbo application.
the pump can also be supplied with an optional AN-6 fuel fitting for those people using non standard fuel hoses.
