Overview
With the success of our Kawasaki H2 fuel pump upgrade, we developed a true plug‑and‑play rising‑rate fuel pump system for Suzuki GSXR1000 and Hayabusa models. This unit replaces the factory pump assembly and delivers the fuel pressure, flow, and boost‑referenced regulation required for high‑performance forced‑induction builds.
Why This Upgrade Is Needed
The OEM fuel system uses a fixed pressure regulator, which works for stock engines but becomes a major limitation when:
- Boost pressure is applied (turbo or supercharger)
- Additional fuel flow is required (E85 or oxygenated fuels)
- Injector duty cycle approaches maximum capacity
Under boost, pressure inside the plenum pushes against the fuel pressure at the injector, reducing effective fuel pressure. This leads to:
- Poor fuel atomisation
- Reduced injector flow
- Increased injector duty cycle
- Loss of headroom as boost rises
While a larger pump can be installed in the stock housing, a rising‑rate regulator is still required, and external regulators are difficult and messy to fit on a motorcycle.
How Our System Works
This upgrade integrates a 1:1 rising‑rate fuel pressure regulator directly into the pump mount. As boost increases, fuel pressure rises equally, maintaining the correct effective base pressure at the injector.
Performance Benefits
- Maintains proper injector atomisation under boost
- Restores injector flow capacity lost to plenum pressure
- Increases usable injector headroom compared to fixed‑pressure setups
- Ideal for E85, where significantly more fuel volume is required
A liquid‑filled fuel pressure gauge is mounted to the assembly for quick base‑pressure setup and easy monitoring. The gauge can be removed and replaced with a pressure sensor for aftermarket ECUs.

A fully anodized, plug‑and‑play assembly designed to fit directly into the factory pump location:
- Choice of 255 / 340 / 535 LPH Walbro E85‑compatible pump
- E85‑safe hoses, seals, and fittings
- Integrated rising‑rate regulator
- Liquid‑filled fuel pressure gauge (removable)
- Factory‑style fuel hose connector
- Factory electrical connector (except 535 LPH option)
- Mount for OEM fuel level sensor
- Stainless steel hardware
- Boost reference hose, fittings, and installation instructions
Only one modification is required: Install a boost reference nipple on the plenum.
Optional Features
- AN‑6 outlet fitting for custom fuel hose setups (hoses not included)
- Can be configured for return‑style fuel systems
**Important Notes**
535 LPH Pump Option
- Requires upgraded fuel pump wiring
- OEM connector cannot be used
- Includes high‑amperage connector and 0.5 m wiring
- High current draw may exceed the motorcycle’s charging system during extended use
- Recommended for race applications
