With the popularity of our Kawasaki H2 fuel pump upgrade we saw there was also a demand for a plug in fuel pump upgrade for the Suzuki GSXR1000 & Hayabusa models.

Why & when is this needed

The stock fuel system uses a fixed pressure regulator, while this is fine for the factory setup it does become an issue when boost pressure is applied & if extra flow is required when using ethanol or oxigenated fuels.

When running boost in either a turbo or supercharged application the boost pressure works against the fuel pressure inside the intake thus reducing the effective fuel pressure & flow at the injectors.

This air pressure within the plenum causes fuel to become less atomised & less suspended within the intake charge which in turn means more injector duty needs to be added to compensate, the higher the boost the worse the effect gets.

As the boost pressure increases you lose more injector capacity because of the dropping effective fuel pressure working against the higher boost presure.

While you can get away with adding an aftermarket pump in the stock housing a rising rate external fuel regulator is still needed, this can become troublesome & messy to fit in the confines of a bike.

Our pump has the regulator built in to the underside of the pump mount & incorporates a fuel pressure gauge making it easy

to set & monitor the desired pressure.

How does this work

With our upgrade the regulator references boost pressure & raises the fuel pressure at 1:1 ratio so as to maintan an effective base fuel pressure which keeps the injectors flowing & atomising as they were designed to.

This has the side effect of increasing the injector capacity ( when measured against a non rising rate setup) & therefore is especially suited to E85 applications where extra fuel flow is required.

 What is included

This is a fully anodized plug play unit that fits in the stock pump location & includes either a 255,340 or 535Lph Walbro E85 compatible pump with E85 compatible hoses & fittings, it accepts the factory fuel hose connector & electrical harness connector, it also includes a mount for the factory fuel level sensor, & uses stainless steel hardware .

A quality liquid filled fuel pressure gauge is also fitted to the unit for easy setting of the base pressure & as an easy visual reference to check on fuel pressures when installed on the bike. Gauge can be removed & replaced with a pressure sensor for electronic gauges or aftermarket ECU applications.

Includes boost pressure reference hose & mounting hardware & instructions.

The only modification required is fitting a boost pressure takeoff nipple to the plenum.

Can also be supplied with an optional AN-6 fuel fitting for those people using non standard fuel hoses (Hoses not included) & can be set up for a return type fuel system also.

**Please note** when using the 535 pump option fuel pump wiring also needs to be upgraded so the OEM fuel pump connector cannot be used, a high amperage connector & 1m length of wire is included with this option.
