Black Art Racing gears are the highest quality supercharger gears available for the Kawasaki Ninja H2, H2R,H2SX & ZH2, OEM quality & slightly tighter than OEM fit on the shaft so there is no chance of gears coming loose due to poor shaft fit. Any stage can be purchased independently , you do not need to purchase lower stages as well, although if you already have a lower stage we have an UPGRADE option that allows you to upgrade to the next stage by only purchasing 1 gear. see more about the UPGRADE option below.
Stage 1 is a single 24 tooth upper gear which gives a 5% overdrive from stock
Stage 2 is a 23 tooth lower gear & a 24 tooth upper gear which gives a 9% overdrive from stock
Stage 3 is a 23 tooth lower gear & a 23 tooth upper gear which gives 14% overdrive from stock
NEW!! Stage 4 gears use a 24 tooth lower gear & a 23 tooth upper gear which gives 18% overdrive
** Please note Stage 4 gears are designed to give more boost lower in the rev range although we recommend using an engine rev limit of no more than 13200 rpm as this ratio pushes the supercharger to the maximum recommended impeller speed of 143000rpm if a higher engine rev limit is used you run the risk of possible supercharger failure**
Actual boost levels will vary from bike to bike depending on other modifications.
*Engine re-tuning is required when fitting ANY upgraded supercharger gears*
UPGRADE Option means you are upgrading from a lower stage gearing ie: for Stage 3 UPGRADE you must already have stage 2 as you will be re-using the 23 tooth lower gear from stage 2 & only changing the upper gear from 24 tooth to 23 tooth. This only works when upgrading to the very next stage, you cannot jump from stage 2 to stage 4 using the UPGRADE option, in this case you would need to purchase a complete stage 4 set.
*Please note* when selecting the upgrade option we only recommend upgrading single gears when you are using stock OEM gears or our gears, don't mix our gears with those from another manufacturer as some have been known to have incorrectly machined teeth which can abnormally wear the chain & cause premature chain failure.
